It is very popular site for visitors to witness the inscribing names of the first travelers that discovered this area. It is an enchanting area with a small pool of ever-present water at the Eastern side of the cliff near the inscriptions.

It is her goal to present sensitivity thru the use of vibrant color. She believes that an artist is a special person who searches for truths and strives tenaciously to record statements. Biography
Jacquelyn Kammerer Cattaneo was born in Gallup, NM and grew up experiencing the unique atmosphere of the Southwest. As a spectator of many ethnic groups and the hypnotic light that enhances the New Mexico landscape, she has developed an intuitive approach to her subject's aura, be it a portrait, tree or landscape. Her ability to capture an individual's inner essence as well as a vibrant likeness enhances the increasing demand for her sensitive paintings. Her art is acclaimed worldwide and collected by patrons through out the United States. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art, is a signature member of The Pastel Society of The West Coast {PSWC}, holding a double membership in oil and soft pastel in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club{CLWC} since 1984, and was awarded permanent certification by The American Portrait Society of America in 1985 {APSC}, and now a signature member Landscape Artists International {LAI}. She has earned a signature membership in The Pastel Society of America {PSA}. Her work was included in The International Artist Magazine, 2005, featuring a soft pastel landscape, titled "Rooted & Rerouted" and 2008 The Richeson 75 International Still-life and Floral competition bound publication featuring two {2} soft pastel paintings.Jacquelyn has acted as an invited ambassador of art through art exchanges in the following countries: Russia, The Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, the Greek Islands, Spain, Israel, Egypt, Italy, and Brazil and Maritime Canadian Islands. In 2004 Cattaneo was awarded; The PSA Award in the 108th Juried Annual Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and First Place Pastel in the Member's Only show of the same art organization. An Award of Merit was earned in the PSA's Dunedin Invitational Exhibition. In 2005 Cattaneo was awarded Second Place Pastel in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's Member's only show,New York, New York.
Continuing a vigorous career as a commissioned portraiture artist, Cattaneo finds solace and joy in plein aire painting, because of her love for the outdoors. In portraiture, the depiction of the human element, individual dignity and spirit are learned through living and also from knowing one's own self. VAIL VILLAGE won a spot in the best 100 minature paintings in 2008 PAINTAMERICA, and is now traveling the United States to dfferent gallery showings.
All of Cattaneo's paintings are registered with the National Fine Arts Title Registry. Each painting carries a certificate of authenticity which has a photo and documentation of the paintings history on the National registry. This is a protection for all clients and gives proof of a painting's existence.
