Statement
My style is reminiscent of the Old Dutch Masters, though my subject matter is contemporary. I have refined and established my style of realistic painting over many years. The main focus of my work is color and light.
Biography
Native of New England, Karen Cahill spent her formative years developing her skills as a painter in the realistic style. At age 11 she was already showing her works in Art shows. Transplanted to the West Coast of Northern California, she attended prestigious St. Mary's College, Moraga, CA. where she studied under Professor Roy Schmaltz. Karen Cahill has shown her works in many galleries and art shows up and down the California Coast. Many of her works are now in private collections. Presently she resides in the beautiful coast side village of Mendocino California, where she lives with her husband and supportive family.
