PAINT NC is a group of artists located in and around Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, otherwise known as 'the Triangle.' The group consists of a variety of emerging and professional artists that meet together regularly to paint 'en plein air' and newcomers are always welcome to join on a regular basis or just to pop in now and then. Artists visting from out of town are also more than welcome to join us at any of the events listed.

Since our regular members know of some of the most beautiful, tucked away places, we take turns selecting areas to paint and sharing our 'secret' spots. We've painted in beautiful cattle farms in Chatham county, the Botanical Gardens in Raleigh, dairy farms in Chapel Hill, homes featured in Southern Living and Better Homes and Gardens, Japanese sculpture gardens, and so much more.

Tuesday, 9am - Noon Bond Park offers a variety of scenes for plein air artist. The Senior Center has a central garden with a gazebo and seasonal flowers. It is, however, open to the sun in July. The lake setting features a board walk, beach and canoe dock with plenty of shade and views across the lake, trees and gardens. Meet at the parking area near the docks and boathouse. Tuesday 9 am - Noon The Inn at Celebrity Dairy offers the peace and comfort of an old home-place, and the purposeful life of a 300 acre working dairy in rural Chatham County. Just a few steps from the Inn you'll find the "Goat Hilton" - home to the Celebrity Goat Dairy herd of 100 Alpine and Saanen goats - the scene of spring kidding, twice daily milking, and the production of award-winning farmstead goat cheese. There are plenty of places to paint - including a long shaded porch, lots of trees, old buildings, the farm house, goats and chickens etc. Celebrity Dairy is located in the Silk Hope Community in Chatham County, between Pittsboro and Siler City. When it's too hot outside to paint, we head into Nathalie's nice air conditioned studio and do a 'paint around.' We'll each take a turn painting on several canvases that will be set up around the room. Then we'll auction these paintings off and our next exhibit. Last year's paint around paintings helped pay for our website and business cards - plus it was just a lot of fun! You're welcome to bring your own paintings to work on also.
